Abstract:
Non-thermal plasma is abundantly applied in the field of environment protection domain for degradation of volatile organic compounds. The Subsequent studies show that non-thermal plasma is of many advantages such as high chemical activity, high reaction velocity, low working cost, and simple technology method compared with the traditional degradation method. The theory of non-thermal plasma degradation is that high energy electrons generate non-elastic collisions with pollution air molecules (atoms),and change non-thermal plasma energy into molecules (atoms) energy. Therefore, benzene serials molecules are decomposed through motivation, separation and ionization procession. There are many factors influencing degradation of benzene serials molecules such as catalyzator, energy density, carrier gas,gas flow velocity, gas humidity, ultraviolet radiation et al.This paper reviews briefly the updated studies on degradation of gaseous benzene serials using non-thermal plasma technology.
