Abstract:
Objective To develop a simple, rapid and accurate method for direct determination of cadmium in urine with GFAAS by using HNO3 as an appropriate matrix modifier.
Methods Using 0.1% HNO3 as matrix modifier with proper temperature programming, the cadmium in urine was determined by MKⅡ M6 graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.
Results The curve had a good linearity in the range of 0-10μg/L. The detection limit was 0.05μg/L,the RSD from 1.91%-2.84%, and the recovery rate from 98.3% to 101.6%.
Conclusion Using 0.1% HNO3 as matrix modifier, direct determination of the cadmium in urine by MKⅡ M6 graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry becomes simple, rapid, accurate, environmental and user-friendly.
