Abstract:
Objective To provide a basis for the establishment of the guidelines or system for the occupational health risk assessment in tea manufacturing in line with China's actual conditions.
Methods Two occupational health assessment models, ICMM quantitative evaluation method and the occupational hazard risk index method, were used to evaluate the health risk caused by tea dust and noise in a tea factory in Hunan Province.
Results The evaluation results showed that the highest occupational health risk caused by tea dust was at tea-cutting worksite and that caused by noise was at machine-compression and shape setting worksite.
Conclusion By comparing the two evaluation methods, it is found that the evaluation process of the occupational hazard risk index method is more scientific and detailed, and the evaluation result was more consistent with the actual production situation.
