Abstract:
Objective To investigate the status quo of psychological capital and work -related life quality of nurses in the emergency department of top (3A) hospitals, and to explore the correlation between them, so as to provide reference for improving the work and life quality of these nurses.
Methods From March to May 2021, 347 emergency department nurses from 11 top (3A) hospitals in Sichuan, Hunan and Guangdong Provinces were selected as the research subjects by convenience sampling method. These nurses were surveyed with general information questionnaire, psychological capital scale and work -related quality of life scale. The scores of psychological capital and work -related life quality of emergency nurses with different characteristics were compared by variance analysis, and the correlation between psychological capital and work-related life quality was assessed by Pearson correlation analysis.
Results The total psychological capital of nurses in emergency department was(98.33 ± 16.78). The total work-related quality of life score was(110.67 ± 18.22). The scores of psychological capital scale were higher among the male, the older, and the nurses with permanent employment contract, or with longer employment time, or with higher professional title (P < 0.05), while the scores of work life quality scale were higher among the male, and the nurses with permanent employment contract, or with high professional title, or with many children(P < 0.05). Psychological capital was positively correlated with work-related life quality(r = 0.706, P < 0.05).
Conclusions The higher the psychological capital of nurses, the better the quality of work and life. The managers should pay attention to the status quo of nurses' psychological capital and take targeted measures to improve the psychological capital of nurses, so as to improve the quality of work and life of nurses in the emergency department.
