Abstract
Objective The status of job burnout and influencing factors of employees in a labour-intensive electronic company were studied to provide orientation to take intervention measures against job burnout. Methods With cluster sampling method, 298 employees were selected in a labour-intensive electronic company and investigated with the general questionnaire and Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS). Results The rate of job burnout of employees was 64.1%. The results of ANOVA analysis showed that there were significant differences in job burnout scores among employees categorized by age, marital status, employment time, working time weekly, and income monthly(P<0.01 or P<0.05). The results of multivariate logistic analysis indicated that the risk of job burnout of workers on assembly line was 1.90 times that of workers on non-assembly line, the risk of job burnout of workers working over 56 hours weekly was 3.32 times that of workers working less than 40 hours weekly, and the risk of job burnout of workers with employment time over 10 years was 0.37 times that of workers with employment time less than 5 years(P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion The level of job burnout of employees in the labour-intensive electronic company was high,we should pay attention to those workers with short employment time, working on assembly lines and for long hours weekly, and take effective measures to promote the workers' physical and mental health and relieve the negative effects of job burnout.
