Status of image quality control of conventional medical diagnostic X-ray equipment in Shenzhen

  • [Objective] To investigate the status of the image quality control of conventional medical diagnostic X-ray equipment in Shenzhen. [Methods] Multi-functional X-ray detector and X-ray machine test plate were used to test the main imaging quality control indicators of X-ray machine. The data were compared with the relevant standards in China. [Results] Totally there were 364 medical diagnostic X-ray machines in 167 medical institutions. The total qualified rate was 88.74%. However, there was a great difference of qualified rate in different sub-groups of conventional medical diagnostic X-ray equipment. The lowest was common X-ray photographs, in which the bigger edges deviation of lighting field to radiation field has serious problem. [Conclusion] We should strengthen the testing and management of imaging quality control of medical X-ray diagnostic equipment to protect the safety and health of patients.
