Abstract:
Objective To analyze the risk level of exposure to chemical hazards in automobile parts manufacturing industry in Jiading District of Shanghai, and to provide countermeasure for prevention and control of such occupational hazards.
Methods The fuzzy mathematic risk assessment method was adopted to evaluate the risk of exposure to occupational hazards in different working-posts in 60 automobile parts manufacturing enterprises in Jiading District of Shanghai.
Results The total assessment scores of occupational hazard in the welding, machining, cleaning and finishing, gluing, coating, rubber and plastic manufacturing, QC testing, casting and assembly posts were respectively 6.852, 6.209, 6.780, 6.500, 6.853, 6.653, 7.000, 7.000 and 7.000. They were all ranked as Grade Ⅰ(excellent). The total assessment score for whole industry was 6.758 and also ranked as Grade Ⅰ(excellent).
Conclusion The risk of exposure to occupational hazards in this district is generally on a low level. The fuzzy mathematic risk assessment method can take various factors into account comprehensively, and can be used as an effective method to evaluate the risk of occupational hazard exposure.
